Supporting parent mental health
The Tijuana Parenting Program aims to bolster the mental and physical health of migrant parents and children by offering caregivers sheltering at the US-Mexico border critical support, education and coping strategies. Taught by certified trauma informed parent educators, the workshop series is informed by best practices in trauma healing, emotional regulation techniques and nonviolent communication, and has already served over 1,000 caregivers at the US-Mexico border.
