NEST LOS ANGELES

For 8 years, Refugee Children Center has served as a haven for hundreds of Central American children and families who have made the perilous journey from their home countries and across the border to the San Fernando Valley. RCC supports migrant families in building sustainable lives in Los Angeles by offering an array of services, activities and supplies within the context of a healing and welcoming space. Nest Global is honored to partner with RCC to expand their local impact through Nest LA, a free, non-formal education program for migrant children and caregivers in the San Fernando Valley.

Opened in Fall 2023, Nest LA provides flexible, high quality childcare alongside critical resources for parents. The space is a refuge for children who have experienced trauma and loss, providing a nurturing environment where children can learn and heal while building meaningful relationships. For caregivers, Nest LA offers a reprieve from the chronic stress of parenting under duress and increases parental access to critical resources such as housing and legal assistance, mental health services, and parenting classes.
